British actress and fashion designer, daughter of food writer Egon Ronay.
Ronay made her film debut in an uncredited bit part in The Pure Hell of St Trinian’s (1960), going on to appear in such films as The Black Torment (1964), Night Train to Paris (1964), A Study in Terror (as Mary Kelly, stabbed to death by John Fraser, 1965), He Who Rides A Tiger (1965) and Our Mother’s House (1967).
She’s probably remembered best for her appearances in two Carry On films – What A Carry On: The Big Job (as Sally Gamely, 1965) and Carry On Cowboy (as Dolores, 1965).
In the early 1980s Ronay became a fashion designer, launching her own label in 1984. She has become known for soft, handmade knitwear and has dressed some of the world's most stylish women - including Diana Princess of Wales, Jerry Hall, Twiggy and Kate Moss.
This is a lovely vintage original publicity photograph for her 1965 film He Who Rides A Tiger and shows a sultry Ronay pouting prettily for the camera. She's added an excellent signature and inscription in blue ink to a clear area of the image.. In very good condition. RARE!
