This is an extraordinary survival – a piece (4”x 1.75”) neatly cut from a document (25th March 1801), signed in ink by Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli’s father and grandfather, Isaac D’Israeli and Benjamin D’Israeli Sr
Isaac D’Israeli (1766-1848)
British writer, scholar and man of letters, best known for his essays, his associations with other men of letters, and as the father of Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli.
Only child of the second marriage of:
Benjamin D’Israeli Sr (1739-1816)
Italian-born merchant and financier, the grandfather of the Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli.
Condition is very good. It is clear from the care with which both men have signed that this was an important document.
