Handsome American actor who achieved cinematic immortality by appearing in two classics in supporting roles, as Janet Leigh's lover in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and as Julius Caesar in Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus (1960).
A fine copy of Stagebill  (July, 1974), featuring a production of the musical Seesaw at the John Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The cast page has been signed in by John Gavin and also by his co-stars, Tommy Tune (b.1939) and Lucie Arnaz (b.1951, daughter of the great Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz).

very fine programme for an Old Vic Company production of Shakespeare's King Henry VIII in their 1957/1958 season. The cover has been signed in ink by John Gielgud (playing Cardinal Wolsey) and by the great character actor Harry Andrews (in the title role.)
The inner cast page has also been signed in ink by actors John Humphry (playing the Earl of Surrey) and David Dodimead (playing Sir Nicholas Vaux).
