Lydon, Jimmy

American film actor, who first came to notice in the title role in the 1940 film, Tom Brown's School Days, and went on to star as the screechy-voiced, adolescent Henry Aldrich in the 8 films of that title, between 1941–1944.

A fine vintage signed and inscribed 1940s black and white 8" x 10" publicity photograph, as Henry Aldrich, with actress Olive Blakeney (his real-life mother-in-law who played his mother in the film series).

Lydon, Jimmy American film actor and television producer, probably most famous as the screechy-voiced, adolescent Henry Aldrich in the 8 films of that title, between 1941–1944.
A fine black and white original vintage 1940s publicity photograph (8" x 10") as Henry Aldrich, in a scene with his real life mother-in-law Olive Blakeney, who played his mother in the series of films. The photograph has been signed and inscribed ("For my friend Ed Barry. Thank you for all the nice things you said. Yours sincerely  Jimmy Lydon") in blue ink across the image.
(A collector's note to the reverse suggests it was signed in 1949)
