British comedy actor, most famous for his portrayal of Harold Steptoe in the great BBC sitcom, Steptoe and Son (1964-1973). A very fine black and white photograph (5.5" x 3.5") of Corbett on stage, as Harold Steptoe, during the 1976 Australian tour. There's an excellent signature and inscription ("To Kev") in blue ink on the lower white margin. This photograph was sent to the fan while Corbett was appearing in pantomime at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley in Kent. He had had his first heart attack in 1979 and appeared on stage within two days of leaving hospital. The photograph comes with a handwritten letter from his wife, Maureen Corbett (c/o Churchill Theatre, Bromley, Kent, 7th Jan 1980), thanking the fan for his letter. View Details |
