Greene, Richard
Charming, tall, handsome, dimpled, black-haired British actor, most famous for his portrayal of an amiable Robin Hood in the long-running British series The Adventures of Robin Hood (1955-1959), which was syndicated worldwide.
A candid sepia publicity photograph (8" x 6.5") for his 1943 film The Yellow Canary, showing Greene next to his co-star Anna Neagle, with Neagle's husband, producer Herbert Wilcox  in the line-up to their left. Greene has signed across a clear area of the image in green ink, and Anna Neagle has signed in blue fountain pen ink. In very fine condition.
This is a rare and possibly unique item - it came from Anna Neagle's own collection of her film photographs, bought after her death by a collector.

A very fine 7.5" x 5.5" black and white vintage 1940s magazine photograph, beautifully signed across the image in blue ink. Beautiful British actress with a wonderfully sexy voice.

A rare vintage black and white photograph (9.25" x 7"), issued to publicise her 1960 London stage appearance in Ibsen's tragedy, Hedda Gabler. In the photograph we see Greenwood reading the only copy of Lovborg's masterpiece, handed to her for safekeeping but which she subsequently burns, leading to the author's suicide.
Greenwood has added a fine signature and inscription in black ink across the image ("To dear John - with many thanks and all very good wishes to you, Joan Greenwood"). Rare.

John Gregson material is surprisingly rare, and vintage material such as this particularly so.
