A remarkably early ROTARY glossy sepia postcard of Owen Nares at the beginning of his stage career, showing him in a clinch with the very young Gladys Cooper in a 1913 Gerald Du Maurier production of Diplomacy at Wyndham's Theatre in London.(This was a great success, running for a year and 455 performances.) Nares has added a good signature in dark blue fountain pen ink, together with the date, 1913.
